Egg database

Break and Steal an Egg Eggs by Zone

Every zone holds two or three named eggs, and egg rarity climbs with distance from the Safe Zone. This database lists the reported tables with their check dates, because they come from a single third-party guide.

Quick answer

9 zones currently hold 24 named eggs. Each zone's eggs share one rarity tier, rising from Common in Forest to Secret in Galaxy, and each zone is guarded by an NPC that chases you the moment you steal from it. Bigger eggs are worth the extra run: size feeds the weight of the animal inside, and heavier animals earn more Cash.

How eggs work

  1. Reach a zone by clearing its Speed gate, then break an egg with your pickaxe: left-click on PC. Stronger pickaxes from the Safe Zone shop crack shells faster.
  2. One animal hatches out based on RNG luck. You can steal it or ignore it and break another egg instead.
  3. Carry the animal back past the zone guardian. If it catches you, you drop what you were carrying.
  4. Deliver the animal to your pen in the Safe Zone. It starts earning Cash immediately and keeps earning while you are offline.

Duplicates are not waste: submit three animals of the same species to the Animal Merging machine and it returns an egg that hatches a heavier variant of that species.

All eggs by zone

Speed gates and rarity labels follow the same third-party zone guide, so both carry the site-wide Cross-source label. Reconfirm a gate in your own client before planning a long grind around it.

The rarity ladder, and one open conflict

The ladder runs Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Cosmic, Divine and Secret, with each tier appearing in a further zone than the last. One label is not settled: the zone guide marks the Hell eggs as Divine, while this site's FAQ currently associates Divine-rarity pet content with Steal an Egg, the different game by a different developer. The label is kept here with an explicit conflict note rather than silently dropped or silently trusted.

Secret is the top of the ladder and only appears in Galaxy, where the Sun Egg, Starry Egg and Blackhole Egg sit behind a three-headed hydra at a reported 25,000,000,000 Speed.

What is not confirmed yet

  • Which specific animals each egg can hatch into; no source publishes a verified per-egg animal pool for this game.
  • Per-egg hatch chances or weight distributions; nothing official or third-party documents them.
  • Egg respawn timing after a nest is emptied; the exact reset interval is unverified.
  • Whether Hell-zone eggs are truly Divine rarity or the guide mislabeled them; the site's own FAQ currently associates Divine-rarity pet content with the other game, Steal an Egg.

Egg questions

How many eggs are in Break and Steal an Egg?

Nine zones currently hold 23 named eggs: two eggs per zone in Forest, Desert and Snowy, and three eggs per zone from Candy onwards. Every zone's eggs share one rarity tier, and that tier rises with distance from the Safe Zone. The table on this page lists them all with the check date.

What is the highest egg rarity in Break and Steal an Egg?

Secret is the top of the reported ladder, and the Galaxy Zone at 25,000,000,000 Speed is the only place it appears: the Sun Egg, Starry Egg and Blackhole Egg, all guarded by a three-headed hydra. Cosmic sits just below at Blossom, and Hell reportedly holds Divine eggs, though that label currently rests on a single third-party source.

How do I break an egg?

Equip your pickaxe and left-click the egg on PC. You start with the Wooden Pickaxe at 1 Power, and stronger pickaxes from the Safe Zone shop break eggs faster. Pickaxe power changes how quickly you crack the shell; it does not change which zones your Speed allows you to rob.

Do eggs hatch into a specific animal?

Each egg hatches one animal based on RNG luck, and you can choose to steal it or ignore it and try another egg. Bigger eggs are worth targeting because size feeds the weight of the animal inside, and heavier animals earn more Cash. The exact animal pool per egg has not been published by any source we trust, so this site does not list one yet.

Why does this page label Hell eggs as Divine when the FAQ says Divine pets belong to another game?

That FAQ answer refers to pet rosters and systems specific to Steal an Egg, a different experience by a different developer. One third-party zone guide for Break and Steal an Egg labels the Hell Zone eggs as Divine rarity. The two claims have not been reconciled in-client, so the label is kept with an explicit conflict note instead of being silently dropped or silently trusted.

What is the Animal Merging machine for?

It takes three animals of the same species, of any weight, and returns an egg that hatches a heavier variant of that species. Adding heavier animals to the machine raises the weight of the egg you get back, so duplicates stop being clutter and become higher-earning versions. See the pets page for the full merging workflow.
